Fall is in the air…somewhere. While we sweat out the last days of an Indian summer here in Los Angeles, elsewhere, girls are putting their sundresses and sandals into storage and we’re pulling out cozy knits and more tailored pieces. Fall staples are marked by heavier fabrics and heavier price tags, but we’ve gathered together our top ten, and none of them ring up at more than $100. Grab one or two to update your wardrobe or get each and every one for a complete seasonal overhaul. We promise you’ll look like a million bucks while spending just a Benjamin.

Last year, we sang the praises of the animal sweater. Well, the trend hasn’t gone anywhere. Thanks to big brands such as DvF, Burberry and more, the cuddly trend is still going strong. But instead of a fluffy rabbit or cuddly cat, we’ll opt for the Madewell Oh Dear Sweater ($88).
For those girls who like big bucks and cannot lie, it’s the perfect piece to add to your fall staples. Over a chambray (so Madewell) or alone, it’s a statement-making sweater that’ll show that you buck trends and go for classics with a twist.

One of fall’s most telling signals is the transition from gladiators and flip flops to booties and boots. It’s a super-trendy rose gold that’s designed to turn heads whether you’re on stage rocking out or just out grabbing a pumpkin spice latté. Sweep it on your cheeks for a music video-worthy glow, which is just the thing to pair with matte lips.

Michael Stars Wild Frontier Eternity Scarf
We’re guilty of tossing a scarf on when it’s not actually scarf weather. What can we say, we’re suckers for accessorizing. But now that it’s cool enough to actually need a scarf, we’ll be throwing on the super-soft Michael Stars Wild Frontier Eternity Scarf ($38). Just like the name implies, it’s got an infinite number of looks. Color-blocking isn’t a trend. It’s something that’ll always be in style.
