Burberry’s to blame (again!) for the proliferation of the blanket coat. Christopher Bailey sent his army of cool-girl models down the runway sporting colorblocked, monogrammed blanket coats that immediately made it the It-item of the season. SJP has one, Cara D wears hers out all the time and they’re sold out in stores. But that doesn’t mean that you can’t find something like that new colorblocked classic. Chloé showed a few blanket silhouettes and naturally, Marni did, too. But if you’re looking for something that won’t break your budget, try one of great finds — including a Burberry Brit option that’s reminiscent of the jacket that started it all.
