When Peter Philips decamped from Chanel to Dior, we knew that we’d be feeling the repercussions at our Dior counters. And while we wait for a full-fledged collection come fall, we are seeing a few new products from the newly-minted Creative-and-Image Director hitting department stores now. The product that had us at first swipe? That would be the new Dior Addict It-Lash Mascara ($26).
Released in conjunction with the new Dior Addict It-Line, Philips and the team at Dior Beauty are giving our lash-and-liner routine an all-new makeover. The new mascara, which might just make us forgo our beloved (and makeup artist favorite) Diorshow, features a chubby wand that’s easy to hold thanks to a supersized handle. The bristles are designed to hug your lashes and create long, curved, doe-eyed lashes that are smooth and ultra-black (thanks to a latex gel polymer formula). And because removing your mascara shouldn’t put your precious fringe at risk, It-Lash comes off with just warm water and soap — no oily eye makeup remover necessary. The buildable formula lets you take your lashes from demure to dramatic; layer on one coat for a daytime-appropriate look and add more for major volume and drama. And forget about flakes, too, because this mascara stays put whether you’re sitting at the office or spending the night out on the town.
