But NARS hears our cries of color confusion and offers up its latest: the NARS NARSissist Matte/Shimmer Eyeshadow Palette ($65). At eight shades, it’s neither stingy or overabundant and with its easy to navigate layout, it’s perfect for crafting the looks you’re pulling from those YouTube binge sessions.
With a row of matte shadows and a row of shimmers, you’ll never accidentally dip that brush into the wrong shade again. With essential shades that are anything but typical (this is Nars, after all), you’ll have everything you need for a daytime look in the palm of your hand. Add a few swipes of the deeper shades and you’ve brought even the simplest, cleanest eye right into after-dark territory. Naturally, the colors all work together — or separately — to create everything from editorial looks to last-minute makeup mad dashes, so feel free to experiment and play. The fine shimmer won’t ever look too over-the-top (read: ’90s teenybopper) and the included black pencil is butter soft, long-lasting and infused with gold pearl. It’s anything but ordinary, just like all the great looks you’ll be pulling out of this new essential.
