The Nars Steven Klein Color Collection consists of 13 new limited-edition items, with two limited-edition formulas: Killer Shine Lip Gloss and Killer Shine Lipstick. The Steven Klein collection follows in the well-heeled footsteps of collabs with Andy Warhol and Guy Bourdin — Nars doesn’t mess around, right? But the striking photos and lust-worthy palettes make this collection one for the ages. Whether you’re more into cheeks (Nars is know for its blushes and bronzers, after all) or lips (though it’s not too shabby in the lipstick department), there’s something new to pick up for yourself and your beauty-obsessed friends. “I’ve always had the highest regard for François’ work. He is the pioneer of moving from one of the greatest makeup artists to creating great makeup,” says Steven Klein. “It is super exciting for me to collaborate using my photographs and joining them with his cosmetic genius.”
The photos on the products were whittled down to 12, which was a tough act, as Nars himself admitted that there were almost 400 to choose from. The formulas of the lipsticks reflect Klein’s use of shine and light. And the colors themselves? Take a look at any Klein photo and you’ll notice that the girls aren’t exactly bare faced. The shades take their cues from bold colors, bright looks and Klein’s obsession with glamour.

And as for next year? Well, there’s one more famed photog waiting in the wings for a collab, but after that, Nars himself assures us that he’s moving on to a different medium. With so many different artists working out there, we can’t wait to see what’s in store.
“It’ll be for holiday 2016 and it will be with another photographer. Someone alive and really, really famous and iconic. That’s all I can say. That will probably be the last photographer for a while, though. Then I want to move on to other artists.”
